Tidewater Physical Therapy, Inc. Breaks Ground on New
Gloucester Courthouse Clinic
New Clinic Will Double In Size and Open Late Spring 2012
Tidewater Physical Therapy, Inc. ceremoniously broke ground this week on a new clinic in Gloucester Courthouse.
The new clinic, which is expected to open in late spring 2012, is being constructed on adjacent property from the current Gloucester Courthouse Clinic just off of Business Route 17 (Main Street) on Fox Hunt Lane. This project doubles the size of the current Gloucester Courthouse clinic – from 2100 square feet to 4000. The entire building will be 8000 square feet.
Jim Miller Construction is building the clinic. Colonial Virginia Bank provided the financing.
Once open, this larger clinic will bring immediate benefits to the community and Tidewater’s valued patients. By providing the space to hire additional therapists, Tidewater’s Gloucester Courthouse Clinic can offer additional appointment times – to include early mornings and evenings – and serve more people.
Tidewater has a great history and presence in Gloucester. There are two Tidewater clinics in the county, the Courthouse location, as well as a location toward Gloucester Point in Hayes (where Karen Kovacs is the Clinical Director).
The Gloucester Courthouse clinic opened on Walker Avenue off of Main Street in 1998 and moved to its current location a couple years later. The Gloucester Courthouse Clinic is also home to a Hand Therapy Center, which benefits from the expansion.
